2027 Ford Mustang Mach-E Trail: Price, Features, and How to Order in Tennessee

Ford just pulled the cover off the 2027 Mustang Mach-E Trail, and if you spend your weekends chasing waterfalls, lake days, or campsites at the end of a gravel road, this one is worth a look. It’s the first Mach-E built specifically for the drive to the trailhead, and order banks are already open.
Here at Ford of Cookeville, we’re right in the middle of some of the best outdoor country in Tennessee. Whether you’re coming from Nashville, Murfreesboro, Franklin, or right here in the Upper Cumberland, here’s everything we know about the new Mach-E Trail, what changed across the 2027 lineup, and how to get your order in early.
What Is the Mustang Mach-E Trail?
The Mach-E Trail is a $2,295 factory package for the Mustang Mach-E Select eAWD. Ford built it for drivers who want an EV that fits an active lifestyle and feels more confident once the pavement ends. Think loose gravel, a dirt two-track, sand, or a slick winter morning.
It’s not a limited run, and it’s not a dealer add-on. Ford designs and builds it at the factory, so all the hardware is engineered to work together from day one.
What You Get With the Trail Package
More Ground Clearance
The Trail gets specially tuned front and rear struts and springs that raise the ride height compared with the Mach-E Select and Premium. You get 10 mm more up front and 15 mm more in the rear. That’s not a rock crawler lift, but it’s a real difference on a rutted gravel road.
Rally Hardware
Ford borrowed several pieces from the Mach-E Rally, its performance-focused off-pavement model:
- 19-inch High Gloss Dark Carbonized Gray wheels
- Michelin CrossClimate 2 all-season tires
- The Rally’s steering rack
Ford’s engineers say the CrossClimate 2 tires also give a noticeable traction benefit in winter. That matters on the Plateau when Cumberland County gets that first round of ice.
Power at the Campsite
Standard 400W Pro Power Onboard gives you outlets in the cargo area and at the back of the center console. It’s enough to charge phones and run small gear like camp lights, a fan, an electric pump for your paddleboard, or a pump to top off bike tires.

Trail-Specific Styling
A Carbon Black lower front fascia and a Mach-E Trail logo on the center armrest set it apart from the rest of the lineup.
Accessories and Ford Rewards Points
If you’re hauling bikes or kayaks, Ford offers a Clamp On Cross Bar Kit by Thule that fits every Mach-E Trail configuration. There’s also an optional Interior Protection Package with all-weather floor mats and a cargo-area protector. You can add it when you order or buy it separately later.
Here’s a nice bonus: Mach-E Trail buyers get 100,000 extra Ford Rewards points on top of the 22,000 points every Mach-E buyer receives. Those points land in your Ford account after purchase and can go toward accessories, parts, merchandise, and more.
What Else Is New for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E?
The Trail gets the headlines, but the whole 2027 lineup picked up some real value.
- Extended-range battery is now standard on every trim. Select and Premium get 88 kWh of usable capacity. GT and Rally get 91 kWh.
- Lower starting price. The 2027 Mach-E starts at $39,995 for the Select RWD before destination and delivery. That puts an extended-range Mach-E under $40,000.
- New front motor. A new secondary drive unit delivers the same performance as before at a lower cost, which helps make that price possible.
- BlueCruise 1.5. Optional on Select and Premium, standard on GT and Rally.
- Connected services standard. The Ford Connectivity Package and Ford Security Package come standard with one year of service included.
Colors: Desert Sand and Shadow Black are standard. Optional colors include Adriatic Blue Metallic, Eruption Green Metallic, Glacier Gray Metallic, Race Red, Star White Metallic Tri-coat, and Velocity Blue Metallic.
One Thing to Decide Before You Order
Because the Mach-E Trail is built on the Select trim, BlueCruise hardware has to be selected when you order. It can’t be added later. If hands-free highway driving on I-40 between Cookeville and Nashville sounds good to you, make that call up front. Our team can walk you through the options so nothing gets missed.
When Can You Get One?
Order banks for the 2027 Mustang Mach-E opened on October 22, 2026. Ford expects the Mach-E Trail to start arriving in Q1 2027. Ford’s online Build & Price tool for the 2027 Mach-E won’t open until early next year, so the fastest way to lock in your build right now is through a Ford dealer.
EPA range estimates haven’t been released yet. Ford says final numbers will vary by trim and configuration and will be announced closer to availability. We’ll update this post as soon as they’re out.
Built for Tennessee Weekends

We didn’t have to stretch to see where this vehicle fits around here. Picture the back roads out to Center Hill Lake, a gravel lot at a state park trailhead, or a fall drive up to Fall Creek Falls with bikes on the roof. That’s exactly the kind of trip Ford had in mind.
And if you’re in Nashville, Franklin, or Murfreesboro, Cookeville is an easy drive down I-40. Make a day of it, test drive a current Mach-E, and grab lunch on the Westside before you head home.
